Jon has been regularly teaching pupils since 2002, offering electric, acoustic, classical and bass guitar tuition at all levels from absolute beginner to advanced. Students learn at their own pace, whether they want to simply rock out to their favourite songs or take a more formal approach by going through the various guitar grades/exams available.

 

He is well-versed in many varied styles including:

• Jazz

• Rock/Metal

• Funk/R&B

• Blues

• Country

• Folk

 

He currently teaches privately at his home based in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire as well as in the surrounding areas although this is subject to extra charges for both travel time and any incurred expenses. He is fully CRB checked.

 

He also has experience as a peripatetic tutor:

• Kings Langley School (2004-)

• Young Music Makers (2006-)

• Middlesex University (2007-2008): Ran a guitar ensemble for the BA music course.

• Hertfordshire Music Service (2008-): Plays bass for the “Jazz Roadshow” workshop group which visits various primary and secondary schools around the county.
